To whom it may concern,
My name is Cory Bain, and I grew up in Sheffield Lake, Ohio. I attended elementary, middle, and Brookside high school graduating in 2011.
While in middle school I started expressing my interest for technology and my social studies teacher at the time listened and made it possible for me
to get into the IT program in high school.
Mr. Cogdell was the IT administrator for the school district and provided many opportunities that are not normally available to adolescents in school.
We learned about managing windows servers, domain controllers, building and repairing PCs, cleaning both software and hardware, and networking.
When the school would get money from grants, we set up entire computer labs and added smartboards to classrooms that didn’t yet have them.
During that time, there were only a handful of students who were involved. During my freshman, sophomore, and junior years there were only
3 students that participated. We had a period dedicated for learning during the school year, and spent the summer doing hands-on work getting paid. One
of my personal hobbies that I started to learn about on my own was reverse engineering software.
I also had a passion for playing musical instruments. Starting with clarinet in elementary school, then moving to tenor sax in jazz band and baritone sax
In concert band. In high school I participated in the high school marching band, playing sousaphone. I also participated in wind ensemble playing tuba.
I started my career differently than most people. I’ve worked at fast food restaurants, the steel mill, a chemical factory, Invacare, flavorseal and many others.
While working for a temporary agency, I was placed at Beckett Gas, Inc on 3rd shift and started working on the production floor running a CNC bending machine.
After 3 months the company hired me in as an official employee, where I continued to work benders for some time. I was eventually promoted to production setup
and moved to 1st shift to train. I was moved back to 3rd shift after my training to proceeded to learn as many areas as I could by working with the other production setup
assigned to different areas. The company had a need to bring me back to 1st shift so I switched my sleep schedule one more time for the company.
I became proficient in setting up the machines in every area of the factory. I happened to overhear one of the front office workers discussing a need for training videos
to be made- I took a chance and explained to him that I have a background in IT, and videos would not be a problem. Shortly thereafter I was brought into the front office as
a manufacturing technician. I created videos for the company and helped write production process sheets that the workers on the floor used as training/reference material.
After a time, I was promoted again and worked closely with an electrical engineer as an electrical technician. I picked up things very quickly and helped
wire up new machines following schematics and diagnosed issues that maintenance was not able to resolve. I became the expert on the software side of benders
and was responsible for setting up new parts.
When opportunities came along to write software for the company, I took it. My position in the company changed again and I became the sole Manufacturing Software Developer
for the company. I wrote most of the projects in C# and even used some of my experience with reverse engineering to bring projects to completion.
The company recognized me by making my title Manufacturing Software Engineer. I moved from the North Ridgeville location to the Strongsville location to begin working
on code related to furnaces. I completed many small projects during this time while working on the biggest project of my life. By far the most complicated software, with the most
moving pieces I have ever written.
While working remotely, within a month or two of finishing Phase II of the project I was fired for absenteeism, and was told another company would come
in to finish my project. I was not allowed an opportunity to discuss the reason of my termination and was told to only bring my work laptop in and show my boss
where my projects reside on the hard drive. I was not given an exit interview.
I filed for employment with Ohio department of job and family services and was denied. They claimed that Beckett Thermal Solutions was justified in their firing of me and I was not given
an opportunity to see what information they used to make that decision.
Sometime after I was fired, my old boss contacted me and asked me to do contracting work for them to help get this new company started on projects. Desperate for any kind of income,
I obliged. But I found out, the company only wanted to talk to me for 15 minutes. I then waited weeks for the remaining time to be used up before asking for my pay- which I did receive.
The agreement was for a prespecified number of hours, even if they were not all used.
2 years after my termination still desperate for employment in my field, I tried contacting the company to discuss things and was told that there was nothing that could be done to
repair the relationship, and I should have aired my concerns at the time of my termination. I tried to explain that I wasn’t given an opportunity and that I was also suffering from
medical issues at the time.
Starting 6 months ago, I started having strange things occur in my life that were hard for me to articulate. Criminals have been harassing me in ways that many people are not going
to believe or understand. They are taking advantage of some of the quirks of society to achieve their goals. These people have claimed to be the police, and still maintain that they are
the North Olmsted police department which I am finding a hard time believing. I have been taking notes, recording information from my iPhone sensors and have months of video evidence.
I am also not an expert in forensics or science outside of computer science. I am at a point where I need assistance. I have been ignored by city, county, state, and federal police.
I have also not received a reply from 2 different attorneys in Ohio regarding an incident of harassment by the North Olmsted police department.
All this information is contained in a blog I started a month ago. The information about the incident with the North Olmsted police department is in the Facebook post, but please
read it in chronological order. If you are interested in looking at any of the evidence, I have recorded I am willing to share it.
To be clear, I am not looking for a story to be made I am looking for help. I believe I am being tortured with electricity in some way. I know it can be measured because
I have measured it. I cannot get the authorities to investigate what is being done to me. As it is, I am currently being forced to stay awake and finish this letter to send to you.
I wanted to wait until the morning to send it, but these people literally have a knob where they can turn the torture up and down and they have kept it up since I stopped typing.
Regards,
Cory Bain
