Huntington bank; apple

Posted on September 12, 2025September 12, 2025 by cbain

Once again, we have corporate participation in human trafficking. This time it’s the bank and Apple working together. You would think both of these corporations have enough money that they wouldn’t have to do stuff like this to people.

I would recommend everyone stop using cloud services and purchase enough local storage to store all your media backups. Huntington Bank and Apple like to work together to take money out of my account while my card is locked.

I went to pick up my prescription today from the pharmacy and had $50 put into my account. I kept my card locked. At the register it was $36 and some change. I unlocked and relocked my card for the transaction.

This evening on the way back from picking my partner up from school I noticed that my account was missing $4.31 leaving me $9.48. We stopped at McDonalds to get something to drink and something small to snack on and share (small fry). I had to unlock my card to spend the money at McDonalds. My card is now relocked with a balance of $5.16. There’s no explanation as to how sometime between getting my medication and locking the card and unlocking the card for McDonalds $4.31 got spent by Apple.com/Bill.

If Apple needs to get their money by working with the banks to force your card unlocked after you lock it yourself in the app, they really must not be doing so hot.
