Someone living in North Olmsted close to me is doing this and apparently have the support of the North Olmsted police force.
I showed this to the police that arrived on March 3rd. These texts are from March 1st. I tried texting 911 and as it was sending, a jammer was used to block my cell signal. Then, when the signal was restored, I immediately received a text from this other number that I do not believe to be the North Olmsted police.
I have since texted 911 again and have gotten through, so I know what an actual 911 response via text looks like. This right here, isn't it.
I took my drone out today to practice flying and it’s a little windy, but I was flying it around just fine. I wanted to get footage of the top of the chimney because the chimney cap is off on one of the three top terminations. The wind took my drone across the street, but then the video cut out and it stopped responding to all controls. It flew up and off towards the trees and I haven’t been able to recover it. I didn’t get to see exactly where it went down.
I would like to tell the police, but they don’t believe good citizens in the area would ever possibly use a jammer for nefarious purposes. Thankfully, it was only a $30 drone, but it has black electrical tape covering the red/blue lights, so people don’t mistake it for a ‘police drone’. I would like it back if anyone happens to have seen or heard anything. I’m still missing items that were stolen out of the house that the police wouldn’t even take a report for. This one was interesting.
