The “biggest payment processor in the world” handed me a debit card at 14 years old. I had my social security number attached. When I got money, I could spend like an adult and just use my card. I didn’t have to carry cash with me everywhere.
I got scammed at 14 years old out of hundreds of dollars. PayPal stood by the scammers. There are so many horror stories online of people getting screwed over by online scammers and PayPal standing by the scammers. They were basically just like Western Union, no recourse.
Then PayPal banned me permanently from the service for using my mom’s account to reactivate my Aion online accounts. She had just got her tax refund, and she called PayPal and had them reverse it, and they permanently banned me from the service. She was mad at me; she didn’t want to have to contribute at all to anything. One of my friends was letting my stay at his house and his parents were taking care of me.
This is why I talk about my mother being an abuser. At 32 years old I still cannot use PayPal for anything.
I wrote an e-mail to PayPal asking to have my account reinstated explaining the situation from my end. I will post that letter and their response when I can dig it out.
