After I completed an entire software engineering project at Beckett by myself, people from the company started to talk. I was told that I was being brought into engineering.
The CEO at the time told the head of HR to do “market research” to find a good starting pay for my new position.
At the time, the company had already called in a LabVIEW programming contractor to make a few small changes to some code. This was after I had already completed rewriting software for one of the existing machines. The old code was in visual basic, and I rewrote it in LabVIEW, keeping all the same formulas and calculations that were being done with the old code. I also modernized it and had the data going to a database instead of an excel spreadsheet that had to be manually extracted on a regular basis. I happened to see the work order and payment for the LabVIEW programmer, the company paid him $100 an hour for the work.
The head of HR brings back a rate of $31.25 to the CEO who approves it. Every software project I worked on at the company, I worked on by myself. I was the sole software engineer.
When I was fired, I was “rehired” as a contractor and was given a pay rate of $75 an hour for 10 hours. It was the man who fired me that asked me to do this small project for him. I waited weeks and talked to multiple people during this time to collect the “minimum 10 hours” I was promised.
I was treated poorly by HR and the head of IT the entire time I was at the company. There were 2 HR employees who kept getting shoved into a corner and talked over, the 2 that would treat me with kindness and respect. I regularly heard from other employees about the head of IT saying negative things about me without reason or cause. The new head of HR spoke with the most condescending tone I have ever heard in my life.
Since my termination, it seems like every business that has any sort of relationship with Beckett has been taking out their sadistic fantasies on me in their respective backends. It’s interesting to see the kind of tree that exists in the shadows. There are very few businesses who act with honesty and integrity left in the world.
What is the point of keeping this system going when the banks can’t be held accountable? Huntington bank in particular has exhibited grotesque behavior regarding my account. The FBI nor the local police nor anywhere in between seem to be capable of holding the bank accountable. They all allow them to play “small games” with people’s money. Hell, even “big games” to the tune of hundreds of thousands. I guess they would have to mess around with a millionaire for the authorities to have anything to say.
Beckett uses Huntington bank, when I opened my account at Chase, they were hesitant to even cash my payroll check coming from Beckett.
While I worked at Beckett, I applied at Hyland Software, and I imagine this was used on me during my interview to make me forget something that I did know off the top of my head. When I was in the vehicle after the interview, I feel like I got my mind back and wanted to call the person I just interviewed with but decided not to. I got the feeling that they would think I just looked it up in the car on my phone.
So, the United States, land of the free, home of the brave has slavery in a more sinister form than we had before 1865. I fear tourists coming here on vacation are sent home modified. Then they just send somebody with equipment whenever they want to take them for everything they are. I was abducted and modified and put back in my bed. I went through a period of brain fog that lasted months.
Not long after I was brought into engineering, I was told to start looking for another job. This wasn’t out of genuine concern; it was so they could test getting in front of anywhere I would apply to and have me shot down. If Beckett had any integrity, they would have helped with placing me somewhere, with all their business relationships. I had actually heard that multiple companies wanted me to work for them while working at Beckett. At that time, Beckett acted like they wanted to keep me.
