I ignored advice from my cousin when I started in the workforce. He told me to move around jobs every few years to continue getting advancement.
I thought to myself, all these businesses want someone who will stay with the company for a long time. I decided to stay at Beckett Thermal Solutions because of this. I made a major mistake, and if I could go back in time and leave the company after 4 years, I would have. That is the longest I recommend staying, because after 4 years of good work things started going downhill. The lazy employees had a problem with my work ethic.
Upper management had the same kind of ethic themselves. They did absolutely no work when it came to knowing what I was doing exactly for the company. Not a single one of my projects got a review. I asked them to hire a company capable of reviewing my work and they refused.
